Maxwell Wood was born in Jacksonville, FL in 1986. He is there now, living with his maternal grandfather, as well as attending classes at and working at the University of North Florida.

From 2003 to 2007, he released several albums as "Applied Communications," and in 2006, he opened a record store and youth center in downtown Jacksonville. It was called "Moon Colony Razorblade." Possibly because of its unfortunate name or a multitude of other reasons, the M.C.R. storefront is now occupied by a bail bondsman.

Currently, he is working on several non-music-related projects without much urgency regarding when they should be completed.
